Plan Your Next Phase.
The world is your oyster, and now it's time to find out what you can do with it.
What is your next step?
You are successful
You are passionate
You are ready to move on
You have lots of questions about retirement
You are in the right place
You are in a great place. You have success. Retirement looks different.
You have worked hard, you have the accomplishments. Retirement, however, looks like a gaping chasm. How will I find meaning in my life? How will I stay relevant? How will I structure my days?
What is holding you back from designing your ideal, most joyful retirement.
Through my work and my own lived experience I have discovered that no matter how successful you are, a major change such as this transition, can cause anxiety.
Your gifts. Your challenges.
You are a powerful visionary
You are used to dreaming big but you are not so sure about this transition. Many options, many perceived barriers. This can make it hard to know how to choose and where to start in mapping out your retirement.
You are brilliant
You use your head all day long and it is how you have achieved so much. However, there is something that has been nagging at your heart.
It may have been something you loved to do in your childhood, a wish that comes up when you blow out your birthday candles, or something that you happened on more recently. Your responsible self has kept you from it. Now its voice is getting louder and more insistent, calling to you to take note and take action.
You problem solve with ease
You are energized by challenges because you are so good at resolving them. You don’t quite have your head around retirement though. There are so many unanswered questions and you are not even sure that you know all the questions. Looking out to the future and what you want isn’t clear, making retirement anything but an easy problem to solve.
You don’t need help
You are proud of your accomplishments and know your strengths. You have had to fight for what you have. Although you have had mentors, you know it has been up to you. You realize you are missing out on having a support team. Turns out the strongest people are the ones that know when to ask for help.
You don’t get to hear the truth
As you have risen in your career, it has become harder to open up with people around you. Even harder is for the people around you to tell you what you really need to hear.
When the Big Day arrives, it will be the beginning of something to be excited about.
With so much uncertainty, vagueness and anxiety, it does not seem so easy to contemplate retirement.
But … It is a time to enjoy life and celebrate the end of “shoulds.” Just think about how great it will be when you don't have to get up early every day, attend all those meetings, or sit in front of the computer for hours on end!
