About Pauline
Retired 3 times, PAULINE FIELD, born in London, England founded the nonprofit 50/50 Leadership from which she is most recently retired, after leading the establishment of the Glendale Commission on the Status of Women. When developing the proposal for the Commission, she realized how few women are in top leadership positions in all walks of life and as women are half the population, committed herself to women being half the leaders.
Her second retirement was from working in research and development for a health maintenance organization, managing the business side of things so scientists could do their magic.
Pauline’s first retirement was from her long career as a Management Consultant and Executive Coach, including being the founder and former COO of International FieldWorks, Inc., a global management consulting agency. She grew the agency so fast that Inc magazine invited her company to be part of their 500 fastest growing companies. She is widely published on business practices and management skills including her book, Feisty & Fearless: Nice Girls CAN Be Leaders, and has appeared on a number of radio and television shows.
She was appointed to the Glendale Commission on the Status of Women, the City of Glendale’s Charter Review Committee, is a past Board member of the United Nations Association, the local Girls Scouts Council and the Women’s City Club of Pasadena. She was a United States Ambassador for the World Leadership Day organization based in South Africa.
Her many awards include being named Businesswoman of the Year by California State Senate and Assembly representatives, the Character & Ethics Award from the City of Glendale and being named 12th most influential person in Glendale and one of 50 Fabulous Women by Los Angeles Times affiliates.
She is happy to be a mother and grandmother and lives with her spouse and rescue dog Marley in Seal Beach, California.
